Lennart Karl made a name for himself with Bayern on Wednesday evening in the Champions League. Lined up from the start by Vincent Kompany for Club Bruges' visit to the Allianz Arena, for his third start of the season in all competitions, this 17-year-old winger scored in the fifth minute of the game.

Karl made his way full axis between three opposing players before shaking the net with a left-footed shot which escaped the Belgian goalkeeper Nordin Jackers. A first goal among the pros for this German U17.

Bayern with PSG

At 17 years and 242 days, Lennart Karl writes history as he becomes the youngest scorer in the history of Bayern Munich ahead of Jamal Musiala, who was 17 years and 363 days when he opened his account in C1, in February 2021 against Lazio, as indicated in the account Football Stats. As a reminder, Musiala is recovering after his fibula fracture which occurred against PSG at the Club World Cup.

The inevitable Harry Kane doubled the lead for the locals (14th) before a third goal from Luis Diaz (34th). All this before half-time for Bayern who won their first two Champions League matches, against Chelsea (3-1) and Pafos (1-5). By scoring two more goals, the Bundesliga champion would take the lead at PSG on goal difference.
