At a time when Paris Saint-Germain will challenge Bayer Leverkusen on the third day of the Champions League, Luis Enrique took the time yesterday, at a press conference, to defend Lucas Chevalier. Faced with the criticism received by the former Lille player, the Spanish coach drew a parallel with Gianluigi Donnarumma by accusing the French press of having demolished the Italian goalkeeper for four years, before praising him. A response that did not convince Samir Nasri.

“Yes, but we have the right to say it if it’s not good. Luis Enrique is nice. We do not question the talent of Lucas Chevalier. We know that he is a talented goalkeeper because when he was at Lille, his talent was praised. We saw him going to a much bigger club than Lille. Today, we are entitled to say that they let Donnarumma leave, who won the trophy for best goalkeeper in the world. Chevalier replaces him and for the moment, the outfit is too big for him in the matches that count. It is not a final judgment, on the contrary. It will be decisive for PSG. He fits better with Luis Enrique's philosophy, that's for sure, because of his kicking game. But for the moment, Tottenham, Marseille, Strasbourg, there are errors and we are entitled to say that too”he declared on the set of Canal+.
