The story between Chancel Mbemba and Olympique de Marseille ended last summer, at the end of a season spent on the sidelines of the Marseille group. The Congolese central defender had also been targeted by a salary deduction, finally canceled after having referred the matter to the LFP legal commission for moral harassment.

Now on the LOSC side, the native of Kinshasa was invited to look back on his last months at OM at the microphone of Ligue 1+. The former member of FC Porto assured that he had definitively closed this chapter.

Mbemba puts an end to it

“What if I still want OM? No, replied the Congolese international, performing well against the Canaries, in Ligue 1+. I respect Marseille. I say thank you to President Pablo (Longoria, editor’s note), to all the supporters and to my former teammates. Thanks to them, I showed what I could do,” confided the neo-Dogue after his team's victory in Nantes (2-0) this Sunday in Ligue 1.

Grateful to the northern club, Mbemba did not fail to salute the confidence placed by its new leaders:
“I say thank you again to our president (Olivier Létang, editor’s note), he gave me the opportunity when no one believed in me. Thanks to the coach, the staff and my teammates. It's life, the most important thing is health and we will continue to work. »
