World Cup 2026: Morocco placed in an easy group?

If Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia will meet at the start of a World Cup for the first time in their history, the three Maghreb nations will not be in the same boat in June 2026.

Before the draw for this World Cup in December, Morocco can be more optimistic than its African neighbors. Unlike Algeria in particular,
which could be placed in hat 4 of this drawthe Atlas Lions should be in the second hat.

And for good reason: Morocco can capitalize on its excellent performance during the previous edition in Qatar. An epic in which Walid Regragui's team became the first African team to reach the semi-final, before a cruel defeat against France (1-2).

World Cup: Which opponents for Morocco?

In fact, Morocco should not avoid a very big nation in its group, but the rest of the program will perhaps be more affordable if the draw favors Achraf Hakimi and his teammates.

The first hat will be made up of the usual big names: Spain, France, Argentina, England, Portugal, Brazil, the Netherlands, Belgium and Croatia, plus the three host countries (United States, Canada, Mexico). On the other hand, Morocco should not come across Germany, Denmark, Switzerland or Senegal, placed in the same hat in the draw.
