This Sunday afternoon, Como hosted Juventus at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadium, in a top-of-the-table duel counting for the 7th day of Serie A. Thanks in particular to a great Nico Paz, Cesc Fàbregas' players returned to victory after two draws and inflicted their first defeat on the Old Lady (2-0). The match could not have started better for the Como team, who opened the scoring through Marc-Oliver Kempf in the 4th minute. Following a short corner and a combination between Lucas Da Cunha and Nico Paz, the Argentinian sent a curling cross from the left towards the area, before the German central defender appeared at the far post to finish from close range. In a first period lacking clear chances, Álvaro Morata (29th) and Alberto Moreno (34th) threatened to make the break, but their long-range attempts were stopped by Turin goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. On the Juventus side, it was Francisco Conceição who was most prominent on his right side, where he tried several times to make the difference with his speed and his strikes (18th, 40th), without success.

The return from the locker room could have gone as badly as the first minutes of the match for Juve. At the entrance to the Turin area, Mërgim Vojvoda unleashed a cross shot that was repelled by Di Gregorio, before Caqueret missed the target on the restart. The former Lyonnais reacted with a smile, as his chances of scoring were good (56th). We had to wait until the 63rd minute to witness the visitors' first shot on target. Receiving a cross from Andrea Cambiaso on the left, Koopmeiners placed a powerful header, but Jean Butez intervened with authority. The talent of Nico Paz responded with much more efficiency a few minutes later, in the 79th minute, during a dazzling counterattack. Launched on the right, the Lariani number 10 eliminated Cambiaso with a hook in the area, before following up with a superb left-footed curling shot. The ball ended up in the side net. Despite eight minutes of added time and several new attempts on target, the Turinese never managed to worry the local goalkeeper. Como is 5th in Serie A. Juventus is 6th.
