PSG: the scenario that will make your teeth cringe

Victim of its success, Paris Saint-Germain begins this season with a largely overhauled squad. The fault lies in a cascade of injuries, directly linked to the large number of matches played by Luis Enrique's squad during the previous year.

This Friday too, the French champion faced RC Strasbourg with an eleven largely made up of substitutes, and ultimately had to settle for sharing the points (3-3). A result which, according to former Canal Football Club columnist Pierre Ménès, could do the business of Olympique de Marseille in the event of a victory for the Phocéens against Le Havre this Saturday.

Ménès warns PSG

“ Marseille will probably take the lead in the championship by beating Le Havre. Soon, we will be entitled to the debate to know if OM can be champions », declared the sports journalist on his channel YouTube.

Ménès found the Parisian dynamic worrying: “Is the club losing momentum? If PSG continues to play with practically a B team all these championship matches, there will come a point where the results will be much less consistent. There will be a time when PSG will have to bring in a big team from time to time. Otherwise, it will eventually give ideas to future adversaries. »

And the consultant seems to have been right, since OM largely won against Le Havre (6-2) on Saturday evening. The French vice-champion takes control of the championship with a head start on his rival. The season is well and truly underway.
