The MLS regular season ended this weekend and Lionel Messi once again made his mark. During Inter Miami's big victory in Nashville (2-5), the Argentine star scored a hat-trick, as if to complete an already exceptional season. With 29 goals and 19 assists, Messi finished top scorer, best passer and most decisive player in the championship (48 cumulative goals and assists).

His performances earned him a hat-trick of individual awards: MVP, Golden Shoe and best playmaker. Added to this are five player of the month titles and dominant statistics in all areas: 91 successful dribbles, 32 chances created, 5 matches rewarded with a player of the match title. An incredible performance, even for a player accustomed to excellence for two decades.

Lionel Messi champion of the USA?

Under the leadership of its captain, Miami finished third in the Eastern Conference, with the best attack in the league. A collective performance worthy of the investment of the Pulga, who seems to have rediscovered a real pleasure of the game and surgical efficiency at the age of 38.

Inter Miami will meet Nashville in the round of 16 of the final phase. Given its current form, it's difficult to imagine the Florida franchise without ambition. Without upsetting MLS, Messi imposed his talent with authority, reminding us that he remains, even far from Europe, an exceptional player capable of raising the level of an entire team. And to make him win the first title in his history?
