OM, a not unhappy leader

OM beat Le Havre this Saturday at the Vélodrome for the 8th day of Ligue 1 (6-2). A big victory for a rather happy ending given the scenario.

Faced with the Normans who were well into their match, the Marseillais conceded the opening score to Kechta (24th). This ten minutes before the turning point of the match: the expulsion of Lloris and the penalty converted by Greenwood which followed (35th). A double punishment that is a priori severe for the HAC.

After the break, the Olympians were quick to take advantage of their numerical superiority. Greenwood saw double (67th), then triple (72nd), then quadruple (76th). And Vaz scored his own goal to bring the score to 5-1 (88th). In added time, Touré on the Le Havre side (90th+2) and Murillo on the Marseille side (90th+2) further lit up the scoreboard.

Final score: 6-2. With OM winning first place in the championship as a reward. With one point ahead of PSG, two over Strasbourg, three over OL and four over Monaco. Le Havre for its part remains in the red with six units on the clock.
