Nasser Al-Khelaïfi would not have appreciated Daniel Riolo's latest statements at all. In the After Foot on RMCthe journalist revealed growing tensions between the president of PSG and Nicolas de Tavernost, boss of LFP Media, over the Ligue1+ channel project. Opposed to its creation, Al-Khelaïfi would do anything to derail it, according to Riolo.
“Nicolas de Tavernost is so drunk that we cannot exclude the possibility of him slamming the door”explained the columnist. “He simply sees that Nasser and his close friends want to destroy the chain. There is an agreement with Canal, because beIN and Canal want to destroy this channel”said Riolo, believing that the Parisian president and certain broadcasters would unite against the LFP.
These comments obviously did not fail to provoke a reaction from those around Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. On X, the account PSG Inside Newsoften well informed behind the scenes of the club, affirmed that the situation could now take a legal turn.
