The Klassiker was to relaunch the title race, above all it reminded us of the hierarchy of German football. At the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich once again got the upper hand over a too-timid, too-late Borussia Dortmund. Under the eyes of a lively audience, Vincent Kompany's men dominated unchallenged, winning 2-1 thanks to Harry Kane and Michael Olise. A success which brings their streak of consecutive victories in the Bundesliga to seven – and which pushes the BVB to seven points.

Kane, the man who hovers over the Bundesliga

From the first moments, the tone was set: Bayern with the ball at their feet, Dortmund cornered. Kane, repositioned lower to participate in the game, quickly demonstrated his knowledge of positioning. From a corner from Kimmich (22nd), the Englishman rose in the air to score his 12th goal of the season. All under the eyes of an overwhelmed Süle and a helpless Guirassy. The Recorder, dominant in all areas, then multiplied the opportunities. Olise found the post, Boey saw his shot blocked, and Luis Díaz failed on the yellow wall.

We had to wait until the break to see a reaction. By changing Süle for Bensebaini, Kovac tried to breathe life into his team. Dortmund then raised their voice, without really worrying Neuer: Nmecha shot over, Guirassy missed the target, and Adeyemi got confused. Too little, too late. Faced with the collective mastery of Bayern, the black and yellow waves broke against an impeccably placed defense.

Olise, the decisive eye for detail

The final blow came in the 79th minute. On a poorly returned ball by Jobe Bellingham, Olise sprang to push the ball deep in a furious recovery (2-0). A logical reward for the Frenchman, who has been shining on his right wing for several weeks. It was only after this break that Dortmund, finally freed from their inhibitions, found the loophole: Brandt, who had just come on, reduced the score 44 seconds later (84th), briefly reigniting the suspense.

The BVB tried to snatch a draw in the final minutes, but Neuer produced two high-class saves to preserve the success. Bayern, sovereign, leads the championship, carried by an irresistible Kane and a team oiled to perfection. Vincent Kompany has his first victory in the Klassiker, and can savor: his team advances without fail, while Dortmund, already seven lengths behind, will have to be content to note the superiority of the eternal rival
