While Manchester City had barely snatched the Premier League leadership position after beating Everton (2-0), Arsenal wasted no time in recovering their possession by winning at Fulham (0-1, 8th day). On the ground of their London neighbors, the Gunners largely dominated without managing to score more than one goal.

In the first period, Mikel Arteta's men already had 71% possession. But with only one shot on target from their eight attempts, they failed to open the scoring. Fulham side, no shots on target. It is therefore logical that everyone returned to the locker room with a goalless draw (0-0).

Trossard finds fault for Arsenal

As the hour mark arrived, Leandro Trossard took advantage of a corner hit by Bukayo Saka, deflected by Gabriel (0-1, 58th). Forced to react, the locals showed themselves a little more enterprising without managing to be really dangerous. The Cottagers did not target a single one of their nine attempts in this match.

Thanks to their sixth success in eight Premier League days, the Gunners are first with six points ahead of Manchester City and four over Liverpool who host Manchester United this Sunday. As for Fulham, this third consecutive defeat leaves it in fourteenth place.
