Paris Saint-Germain will kick off the eighth day of Ligue 1 this evening at the Parc des Princes. First in the ranking, the reigning French champions host Strasbourg. A shock for the leaders Rouge et Bleu, but with only one point ahead of Olympique de Marseille, Strasbourg and OL. Faced with the sensation team at the start of the season, Paris is therefore under pressure if it wants to maintain its status as first in class.
For this match, Luis Enrique will once again have to do without several usual starters. Ousmane Dembélé, Fabian Ruiz and João Neves are still in the infirmary, just like Marquinhos. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and especially Désiré Doué are no longer part of the medical point, but both are not announced as starters at kick-off. To try to beat the Alsatian team, Luis Enrique should carry out a large turnover, just to breathe life into the elements requested during the international break.
A big turnover announced on the Parisian side
Chevalier will guard the Parisian cages. Up front, Warren Zaire-Emery would once again play the troubleshooter on duty at the right back position. Illia Zabarnyi and Lucas Beraldo would form the central axis and Lucas Hernandez would make Nuno Mendes breathe on the left flank. In the middle, again there should be rotation. The absences of João Neves and Fabian Ruiz could benefit Senny Mayulu and Kang-in Lee. Up front, Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola are announced on the wings to support Gonçalo Ramos.
Opposite, Liam Rosenior would line up a 4-5-1 with Mike Penders on goal. In defense, a quartet of Guéla Doué, Lucas Högsberg, Ismaël Doukouré and Ben Chilwell is announced. In the midfield, the recovery sector would be provided by the duo Samir El-Mourabet – Valentin Barco. Julio Enciso would be positioned in the heart of the game with Abdul Ouattara and Daniel Moreira on the sides. Finally, Joaquin Panichelli should be lined up alone up front.
