Djylian N'Guessan is already making waves, despite his absence in Ligue 2 this season under Eirik Horneland. The 17-year-old striker discovered Ligue 1 during the second part of the previous season, and continued to shine with the French U20 team during the World Cup in Chile.

Aligned in each meeting, he missed his shot on goal during the elimination against Morocco on Wednesday, but his rating remains intact. Europe is already interested in him. The Guardian recently included him in its ranking of the 60 best players in the world born in 2008, confirming the potential of a nugget already noticed by many scouts.

According to The Teamseveral English and European clubs are closely following N'Guessan. Chelsea and Inter Milan are said to be among the main suitors, while Watford and Udinese are also interested in the young striker. His summer injury limited his playing time at the start of the season, but did not dampen the interest of European big names.

Extension or departure

ASSE will soon be able to count on him to complete its group, while the France U20 team still has to play the small final against Colombia this weekend. In Forez, the emphasis is already placed on his return and his integration into the professional group.

At the end of his contract in 2027, N'Guessan could quickly become a major issue for Saint-Étienne. The club will have to decide: secure the nugget with an extension or risk seeing it leave for Europe. The young striker's future remains open.
