Francesco Totti is a legend of Italian football but also of world football. The former AS Roma attacking midfielder made his mark during the late 90s and early 2000s.

The Italian has only worn two jerseys in his career: that of Roma and that of the Italian selection. Despite various requests, the Italian swore loyalty to the Louve club with whom he won the Italian champion title during the 2000-2001 season.

A title which will remain forever in the history of the club but above all in its memory. To a point where the former number 10 places this achievement above his World Cup victory in 2006.
“I won the scudetto with my jersey, as captain and symbol of Roma. For me, it’s worth even more than the 2006 World Cup,” he said during an interview with the Gazzetta.

Totti has a favorite in Serie A

Retired since 2017, Francesco Totti is now a big follower of Serie A. However, the Italian legend admits to not being enthusiastic about the current players except one: The attacking midfielder of the Como club Nico Paz.

“There aren't a lot of talents in Italy that excite me at the moment… The only one that really interests me is Nico Paz. I'm very curious to see how far he can go,” he said. The young 21-year-old Argentinian, on loan from Real Madrid, is seducing at the start of the season where he brings his total to 3 goals and 3 assists in 6 matches played.
