England validated its ticket for the next World Cup this Tuesday after a great success against Latvia (5-0). With only two matches remaining in these qualifiers, the Three Lions have six victories in as many matches, without conceding a single goal.

The results for coach Thomas Tuchel are particularly flattering. Since his appointment as head of the team on January 1, the German technician has accumulated seven victories in eight matches. The only downside remains the friendly defeat against Senegal (1-3) in June.

Tuchel savors

Very satisfied with the progress of his team, Tuchel welcomed the rise in power of the Three Lions. He particularly praised the involvement of the band in Harry Kane, double scorer.

“Six matches played, six matches won, no goals conceded. It's a very special moment today. I think we have made a lot of progress over the last two meetings, and this victory is another example of that. We played as a team, with a lot of effort from my players in the pressing. I am very proud of the performance, they deserve this qualification”said the former Chelsea manager.
