Robert Lewandowski is entering his last year of contract with FC Barcelona and his future remains uncertain. Less influential at the start of the season than during his first years in Catalonia, the Polish striker, who arrived in the summer of 2022, has nevertheless been decisive in the two La Liga titles won since then, in addition to posting an excellent record of 105 goals and 20 assists in 156 matches played. His agent, Pini Zahavi, provided an update on his situation in an interview with 365Scores. “Lewandowski's contract with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2026 and no decision has been made yet. We have to wait and see what happens in the coming days”he clarified before denying: “There is nothing official regarding negotiations with teams from Saudi Arabia. There are no offers at the moment. »

Although he is still happy at Barcelona, the 37-year-old striker knows this is probably his last big contract. The interest from Saudi clubs remains very real, but the decision will also depend on its importance in Hansi Flick's project between now and the end of the season. Interviewed in Poland by TVP Sport during the truce, Lewandowski downplayed criticism of his age: “When someone wants to point out a fault in me, they say that I'm old, that I don't run anymore, that I don't want to run or that I don't work. It's absurd. Just look at how much I ran. Of course, I am aware that at my age, playing less could benefit me over the duration of the season. »
