Algeria will see America. Absent from the final phase of the World Cup since the 2014 edition in Brazil, the Fennecs validated their ticket for the 2026 World Cup. A qualification made official last Thursday after their victory over Somalia (3-0).

The Greens now have a meeting with Uganda this Tuesday (6 p.m.) in Tizi Ouzou. A meeting without stakes for Algeria, but not for Luca Zidane, who will experience his first selection! Indeed, the son of “Zizou” was started by Vladimir Petkovic in goal instead of Alexis Guendouz.

Although he defended the colors of the French team in all youth categories, Luca Zidane decided to represent Algeria, the country of origin of his illustrious father. Summoned for the first time with the Fennecs for this gathering in October, the 27-year-old goalkeeper will officially become an Algerian international this Tuesday.
