Belgium took its destiny back into its own hands in this qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup, victorious this Monday in Cardiff over Wales (2-4). Very quickly behind (goal from Rodon in the 8th minute), the Red Devils were able to respond and quickly turn things around thanks to De Bruyne (18th from the penalty spot) and Meunier (24th).

In the second period, De Bruyne was able to score a double from the penalty spot (76th), then Trossard ensured the success of his team (90th) while Broadhead had just sowed doubt once again in the Belgian minds (89th). Strengthened by this result nevertheless, Rudi Garcia's men take control of their group. By pushing the Welsh back four lengths and taking a point lead over North Macedonia neutralized at the same time by Kazakhstan (1-1). Beware of a possible relaxation against these Kazakhs or Liechtenstein next month.
