Although it has long been part of his kit, Gianluigi Donnarumma's regular errors continue to give Italy fans heartache. Whether at club or national level, the Transalpine goalkeeper is accustomed to doing so and on Saturday evening against Estonia, yet another mistake from him gave his opponents a goal. Enough to cause more than annoyance on the other side of the Alps.

If the hand fault of the former PSG goalkeeper which occurred at the dawn of the last quarter of an hour did not prevent the Squadra Azzurra from winning (1-3), the discontent was no less felt among the Italian press. The day after the match, everyone's verdict was not kind to “Gigio”.

THE Corriere della Sera apart from example talked about“serious error”evoking “a lack of concentration that a great goalkeeper like (Gianluigi Donnarumma) can't afford”. And the media gave it a 4.5, the worst rating among all the players. Another superlative used by Il Messaggero to define the faulty gesture of the doorman:
” terrible “. The daily wrote of its dismay at having witnessed the scene.

Donnarumma and Italy far from Norway

Almost all the media targeted the Manchester City goalkeeper who had absolutely nothing to do against the pale Estonians and who therefore failed in the only action he had to manage. Italy nevertheless remains second in Group I with six points behind Erling Haaland's Norway who smashed Israel at the same time (5-0).

The race for first place promises to be very complicated for the Nazionale which will already be able to make up part of its deficit on Tuesday against Moldova, last in the group with zero points, three goals scored and twenty-five conceded in five matches.
