On October 7, a professional footballer was apprehended by the gendarmes of the motorized platoon of Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc, not far from Le Havre, for speeding by almost 100 km/h on a Normandy motorway – the A131. Or a flash at 224 km/h!
According to information from Actu Normandie, the thirty-year-old player, driving a rented Mercedes, was then driving without a driving license, under suspension for previous offenses. The regional media specifies that he was then on his way to an airport to join his club abroad.
Now facing criminal proceedings, the footballer, whose identity has not been revealed, obviously left by taxi. The same day, on this same section of highway, the same motorcyclists from the gendarmerie flashed a young driver at 168 km/h.
