Paul Pogba kidnapped, a convicted friend wins his case

A lesser evil for Boubacar Camara, convicted in the case of the kidnapping of Paul Pogba dating back to March 2022. Childhood friend of the AS Monaco player, when the latter was growing up in a district of Roissy-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne), he won his case by seeking justice.

Friday October 10, the Paris Court of Appeal accepted the request for a sentence modification in favor of the 35-year-old man, found guilty in particular of extortion by violence and criminal conspiracy, reported Radio Franceconfirming information revealed by The Team.

Boubacar Camara should be released from his cell on October 21 and continue his sentence at home under electronic monitoring. He will have the right to leave his home between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. He is also prohibited from contacting Paul Pogba and other people involved in the case.

10 months instead of two years

On December 19, 2024, Boubacar Camara was sentenced to four years' imprisonment, two of which were suspended, and a fine of 20,000 euros. He was incarcerated on March 13, 2025, after three and a half months of pre-trial detention. He will therefore have spent a little more than ten months behind bars, out of the initial 24 prisons.

THE other convictions delivered in December 2024: Roushdane K. (39 years old): 8 years in prison and continued detention. Fine of 20,000 euros. Ban on carrying weapons for 10 years. Adama C. (33 years old): 5 years of imprisonment. Warrant of deposit. Fine of 20,000 euros. Ban on carrying weapons for 10 years.

No prison for Mathias

Mamadou M. (30 years): 5 years in prison including 12 months suspended. Warrant of deposit with deferred effect. Fine of €20,000. Ban on carrying weapons for 10 years. Machikour K. (36 years old): 4 years in prison, including 3 years with a simple suspended sentence. The firm sentence: remainder in the form of home detention under electronic surveillance. Fine of €40,000.

Mathias Pogba (31 years old): 3 years in prison, 2 of which were suspended. The remainder of the sentence will be served in the form of home detention under electronic surveillance. Fine of €20,000.
