It was difficult to imagine, just a few months ago, that Germany would find itself up against the wall after two matches in its qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup. Dryly beaten by Slovakia in its first match (0-2), the Mannschaft gave a first response by winning against Northern Ireland a few days later (3-1), but Julian Naglesmann's work remains enormous.

More than technical considerations, the German coach has started to activate other levers to wake up his players. Attitudes and mentality have been singled out. Germany will therefore be scrutinized for this second gathering, with a match within its reach, this Friday, against Luxembourg (kick-off at 8:45 p.m.).

The expected compositions

Germany : Nubel; Anton, Tah, Koch; Schade, Kimmich, Goretzka, Raum; Gnabry, Wirtz; Woltemade.

Luxembourg: Morris; Jans, Mahmutovic, Korac, Carlson; Olesen, Barreiro; Moreira, Sinani, Bohnert; Dardari.

Where to watch the match?

This match between Germany and Luxembourg counting for the qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup will be broadcast this Friday evening on L'Equipe Live Foot, from 8:45 p.m.
