Arriving this summer with the status of a rising star in world football, Lucas Chevalier has had a rather contrasting start to his experience at Paris Saint-Germain.
Already the author of a blunder in the Classic against Olympique de Marseille (0-1), the French international was unable to be decisive in one of the only saves he had to make, Sunday, in Lille (1-1). Mike Maignan's liner took a curling shot from Ethan Mbappé.

Downsides counterbalanced by other much more positive points, such as the penalties (or shots on goal) stopped against Toulouse (6-3) and Tottenham (2-2, 4-3 tab). Former PSG goalkeeper, Jérôme Alonzo commented on Chevalier's debut.
Alonzo clear on Donnarumma-Chevalier comparison
“ You are perhaps replacing the best goalkeeper in the world, in one of the best teams in the world, and they tell you that you have to do better but a little differently… So it's complicated“, explained the consultant in comments made on RMC.
“ For me, today he is a goalkeeper who is less strong than Donnarumma so we cannot expect him to do more exploits than Donnarumma who was the best goalkeeper in the world for six months. In terms of quality, I think that Paris has lost out, but Paris will perhaps be a winner for the future“, concluded the former Parisian.
