Everything is going pretty well for Saint-Étienne at the start of the season. Second in Ligue 2, tied on points with Troyes and Pau, the Greens were able to quickly bounce back after their defeat at home against Guingamp (2-3) by winning on Saturday evening in Montpellier (2-0). A victory obtained thanks to an excellent Zuriko Davitashvili, author of a double.

Lucas Stassin, too, showed off at Mosson by serving the Georgian international on the first Saint-Etienne goal, from the second minute of play. Confirmation for him of an excellent month of September. In the four matches played by ASSE over this period, the Belgian striker actually compiled 4 goals and 1 assist.

All done for Lucas Stassin?

Performances which earned him one of the three players nominated by the UNFP for the title of best player of the month in Ligue 2. A trophy already in his pocket? Not sure, because the Sainté scorer will be in competition with two ESTAC players, Kouadou Jaurès Assoumou and Tawfik Bentayeb, authors of 3 goals each in September.
