This summer, Adrien Rabiot returned to Italy, this time on the side of AC Milan. This transfer comes after his violent altercation with Jonathan Rowe to Olympique de Marseille and his sidelining the Marseille group last August.
The French community therefore finds the Serie A, as well as its former coach at Juventus Turin, Massimiliano Allegri, now in charge of the Rossoneri. And this, more than a year after having freely leaving the Piedmontese formation.
“It's nice to come back”
This Sunday, Rabiot lived his reunion with his former club on the 6th day of the Italian championship. Juventus and AC Milan separated on a zero and virgin score (0-0), but for the former Marseillais, this meeting was a special character.
“It was emotionally charged because I have a lot of ex-co-teams that I know here in Turin, the stadium and all the staff, including coach Igor Tudor. It's nice to come back, I would have liked to win but we continue our way. (…) Do I remember the frustration of the result or the emotion? Emotion before the match, then anger, of course, because we wanted to win and we did everything to get there. Something was missing, we still have to progress collectively. In my opinion, these are two points that we have lost ”said the native of Saint-Maurice in the mixed zone.
