Private chef Johnny Marsh revealed his cooking secrets to many stars, current and old, of the Premier League, of which Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba.

As the release of his first recipe book approached, the 28 -year -old unveiled several anecdotes from his career, including the caterer for the Pogba birthday party which made the walls of a Manchester hotel tremble.

Marsh shared its cooking secrets during an interview with the Sport Mail. It is clear that the Frenchman, world champion, left a strong impression on the chef, remembering a barely believable scene in a posh place in Manchester.

“Paul Pogba's birthday, I will always remember,” said Marsh.

“Paul Pogba's birthday, I will always remember it “Said Marsh.

He had rented an entire floor of a hotel in Manchester. It was crazy. I cooked for him and his wife in this room. While the main dish was served, a huge African group with percussion and instruments storm in the room.

They were so noisy that the walls were shaking. Pogba's wife was dancing on a chair with Paul. It was deafening, it would have filled a concert hall. I remember just looking back, saying to myself: no one would believe me. »»

The life of the best private chief of Premier League

The daily life of Marsh was much less surreal, but it seemed no less frantic. With an imposing clientele made up of the best footballers in the country, he took advantage of all his vocational training and business sense to build his empire. He learned from the best, working at the manor, the Michelin star restaurant in Raymond Blanc, and sailing in the Mediterranean as a private cook on superyachts. Serving nutritious and delicious meals that help players to give the best of themselves, he offers snacks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners who can be delivered to home or prepared at home if players wish as cool as possible.

“I manage it as a restaurant,” says Marsh. “I ask what time they want to eat, they answer at 6 p.m. and I will be there at 5.30 p.m. Everything is ready. I take my pans, my equipment, I go and presto, hop, hop, I'm going. I come back and go out. In general, I am clean and outside even before they finished their dish. I don't interest me to be friends. I absolutely do not interest me to annoy you for three hours.

At one time, the chef was preparing fresh dinners for four Premier League players each evening. His routine saw him pass by Eriksen, Luke Shaw, Vitalii Mykolenko and Ian Maathsen.

“Christian was still the first,” said Marsh. “He liked to eat early because he had children and Ian was not even 100 meters away. It was the life buoy. »»

“So I had two before 6.30 p.m. Luke Shaw liked to eat at 7 p.m. and Vitali Mykolenko ate late, which was perfect. »»

Food diets for the largest premier league stars

Marsh also revealed some of the food needs of its famous customers. For example, the favorite dish of the Liverpool Curtis Jones midfielder is Pesto pasta, while Rasmus Hojlund loves steak.

The first dish he cooked for Kevin de Bruyne was carbonara spaghetti cooked in beet juice, after the nutritionist of Manchester City explained to Marsh that this root vegetable was excellent for physical performance. If many Italians can be reluctant to the idea, she clearly marked the six -time winner of the Premier League, Marsh having worked alongside De Bruyne for five years.

Among the popular dishes, we find the Tikka Masala chicken, a salmon salad with superfoods, a rice in milk before the matches and a smoked salmon, fresh cheese and marinated onions, to engulf on the training path.
