OM, huge blow after Ajax!

The evening was perfect for OM. Tuesday evening, for his second match of the season in the Champions League, Marseille outclassed Ajax Amsterdam in a boiling Vélodrome stadium (4-0). A success that came to erase the regrets born from the frustrating defeat conceded two weeks earlier on the lawn of Real Madrid (1-2).

But bad news came to shower the enthusiasm of the Olympians. While they already led 3-0 against the Dutch, the Roberto de Zerbi players lost Facundo Medina on injury before the break (36e). Replaced by CJ Egan-Riley, the Argentinian defender joined the locker rooms by box. Worrying?

Big tile for OM!

The day after this excellent result, the diagnosis fell for the old Lensois, and it is not good at all.
“Facundo Medina suffers from a sprain from the right ankle and will be far from the land almost two months”indicates OM, who wishes “A speedy recovery” to his player and “Hope to see him as quickly as possible on the field”.

A huge tile for the sky and white. Arrived this summer, the ex-Sang et Or is a precious element for “RDZ”, which can align it in the axis of a defense with three as in the left corridor when he wishes to evolve four behind. His absence will deprive the Phocaeans of an important rotation. Not ideal given their sustained calendar.
