Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior are currently deadlocked in their negotiations concerning a new contract for the winger, whose lease expires in less than two years.

The club is determined to maintain its position on the subject, a position that has been amplified following new revelations.

For the moment, the conditions proposed by Real Madrid have done nothing to appease Vinicius or its representatives, the two parties looking for better financial conditions to sign definitively. According to Okdiario (via MD), among their requirements is an important renewal bonus, probably similar to the signature indemnity collected by Kylian Mbappé after his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024.

Roc Nation Sports, the North American agency responsible for negotiating the renewal of Vinicius, hopes that this bonus will be included in the new 24-year-old contract. However, at this stage, Real Madrid has absolutely no intention of accepting this offer and also does not foresee a softening of its position.

Real Madrid expects a relaxation of the requirements of Vinicius.

Despite this, the feeling within Real Madrid is that an agreement will be reached with Vinicius and his team in the coming months, before the deadline set for the finalization of negotiations. The Merengues will not allow the file to extend until the last year of the current Brazilian international contract, which suggests that an active attempt to sell it would be carried out next summer if nothing is done by then.

It remains to be seen if an amicable solution will be found, but Real Madrid highly hopes that this will be the case. They want Vinicius to remain, even if they have clearly indicated that he would only get a new contract only to their conditions – and otherwise he will leave.
