Five years after his retirement (and a last experience in Adana Demirspor, Turkey), midfielder Anderson was sentenced to prison sentence for non-payment of alimony by the Porto Alegre family court. The former Manchester United prodigy will spend 30 days behind bars and was punished with a fine of 160,000 euros.
As the local press indicates, the former international Auriverde (8 selections in 2007 and 2008) will take the direction of a penitentiary center but, in the event of last minute payment of the amount claimed by the judge, he will then be under a “semi-open” regime, which will allow him to go out during the day to study or work.
Anderson Luis de Abreu Oliveira was recruited by Man United in May 2007 for 30 million euros from FC Porto.
