Manchester United, Mercato's madness!

This is the revelation of the weekend! Manchester United put the double bites this summer to strengthen its workforce. According to The Athleticthe Mancunian club borrowed an additional 105 million pounds, or more than 120 million euros, to finance a particularly ambitious transfer window. This fresh money comes from a reorganization of its credit lines, with a ceiling brought to 350 million pounds and a deadline postponed until December 2029.

The new resources have enabled the Rúben Amorim team to recruit several weight reinforcements, including Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, as well as the young goalkeeper Senne Lammens. The objective is clear: to densify the workforce and prepare the team to meet the challenges of a demanding season, both national and internationally.

Disappointing results

To limit the financial impact, Manchester United has sold some players such as Alejandro Garnacho and Antony, while activating clauses on old transfers. But despite these sales, the net balance remains very high, exceeding 185 million euros.

Between July and September, the club used its credit lines to maintain fluid cash while continuing its sports ambitions. A risky strategy: the debt increases while the team struggles to find its pace, with only two victories in five games since the start of the season.
