José Mourinho starts a new challenge in his coach career. Evinced from Fenerbahce, the special One is now on the bench of Benfica Lisbon.

The Portuguese manager signed up with the LisBotian club until 2027. He made his comeback there after making his debut as a coach in the 2000s. The 62 -year -old man aims to win the title of Champion of Portugal and to appear in the Champions League.

However, despite his arrival in Benfica, which could be his last challenge, the former Real Madrid coach keeps a very specific objective in a corner of his head. Indeed, the double winner of the C1 (2004 and 2010) still dreams of coach the Portuguese national team.

“I continue to think that one day, I will coach the Seleção. But for the moment, I am at SL Benfica: a big club. He said at a press conference after his first match and his first victory on the bench this Saturday against AFS (3-0).

During this European campaign, he will cross the road of one of his former clubs, namely Chelsea on the second day of the league phase (match on September 30). He will return to Stamford Bridge, a place where he had many successes during his double visit to the club (2004-2007 and 2013-2015).
