Donnarumma, first Tile at Manchester City!

Manchester City believed it. Defeat 5-1 by Arsenal last February, the Citizens failed to take their revenge at the Emirates Stadium on the 5ᵉ day of the Premier League. Quickly, Arsenal displayed his desire to control the game, multiplying the duels and imposing his rhythm as soon as you kick off. However, it was the Sky Blues that opened the scoring in the 9th minute. Taking advantage of a quick recovery in the midfield, Erling Haaland deceived Raya after a perfectly conducted counter.

After this goal, Manchester City moved to the Gunners camp, complicating the revival of the Londoners. Arsenal, however, gradually regained control of the ball, trying to go through the wings, especially with Maduéké, without concretizing despite several frank occasions. The duels in the midfield was intense, and possession regularly played on tight battles to the break.

The second half saw Arsenal intensify its pressure. A half-volley of Eze was rejected by Donnarumma, illustrating the solidity of the Italian goalkeeper. The entry of Saka energized the Gunners, who continued to create opportunities and put the defense of City to the test, causing many mistakes and now the pressure until the last minutes.

Donnarumma, one in three

At the very end of the match, Arsenal found the solution thanks to Martinelli. Perfectly served in the depth by Eze, the Brazilian has lobed Donnarumma with composure, offering a precious point to the Londoners and tearing the equalization.

Despite this goal collected, the Italian goalkeeper has delivered a remarkable performance. His decisive judgments have slowed down the Arsenal offensives and allowed Manchester City to preserve part of his advantage until the final whistle. The former PSG porter, however, recorded his first goal conceded with Manchester City in three games, who remained inviolate until today.
