Olympique Lyonnais won against Angers this Friday, on behalf of the 5th day of Ligue 1 (1-0).

It took a grain of sand, in Rennes, to see Lyonnais Take your feet in the carpet and concede their first hook of the season (1-3). After a flawless since the start of the summer, this defeat should not question everything. But OL had an answer to give against Angers this Friday evening.

The men of Paulo Fonseca have succeeded in their mission. Well organized, consistent in the middle and effective in the two areas of truth, the Gones put the ingredients necessary to collect their fourth victory in five games.

Fonseca had to tinker again to concoct his starting eleven. Rémy DESCAMPS, who joined the infirmary for a month, left his place in the goals to the recruit Dominik Greif, while the inevitable Corentin Tolisso abandoned his role as false new to find a hybrid position on the side.

OL has been able to be patient

His choices have borne fruit. We had to expect a good opposition of styles on the tactical level. If OL quickly sought to set foot on the ball, the band in Fonseca should find the opening in front of a low and compact block, while being vigilant on defensive transitions. The Lyonnais succeeded. Light came from Tessmann.

Opportunistic after a background on corner, the American international unlocked the situation after the hour of play (1-0, 65th). OL could have and had to make the break to take shelter definitively, but it missed a zest of success, like Satriano, whose shot crashed on the post (71st). Solid defensively, fluids in their movements, the Lyonnais managed this advantage until the end, despite a fear in the stoppages of the game. Mission accomplished.
