Chelsea dominates the most expensive world ranking of workforce with 1.3 billion euros

According to the CIES football observatory, Chelsea is the club whose current workforce has cost the most expensive in the world. The Blues invested a total of 1.314 billion euros, including 134 million for the most expensive transfer, that of Moisés Caicedo. Manchester City (€ 1.128 m) and Manchester United (€ 1.071 m) complete the podium, followed by Liverpool (€ 1.065 m) and Arsenal (€ 1.001 m). Among non-English clubs, Paris Saint-Germain leads with 873 million euros spent, while Al-Hilal dominates the classification of non-European clubs with 451 million euros.

This statistical analysis also highlights the magnitude of recent spending on the transfer market: the ten most spending clubs increased their investment by last year (from 8.44 to 9.67 billion), and the world top 100 saw its total mass go from 26.23 to 29.42 billion euros, directly linked to the record for expenses recorded in 2025. optimization and monetization of staff by the most ambitious clubs.
