The shock between Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, scheduled for Sunday for the 5th day of Ligue 1 at the Orange Vélodrome, will be played without Parisian supporters, reveals The team. Unlike the authorized displacement of Paris FC fans on August 23 (Marseille victory 5-2), the authorities believe that the security conditions are not met to accommodate PSG supporters. For the sake of reciprocity, Marseille fans will not be allowed during the return match to the Parc des Princes.

The meeting was classified at level 5 by the National Division to Combat Hooliganism (DNLH), the highest level of risk, due to the strong potential tensions between the two camps. The historical rivalry between OM and PSG, intensified by the recent European title of the Parisian club, would also have motivated the implementation of exceptional security measures.
