Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim would have only been three games to save his post after a catastrophic start to the season.

The Portuguese has produced the worst start to the Red Devils season in the Premier League for 33 years and now undergoes increasing pressure to keep its position. His arrival at the club 10 months ago had sparked a lot of enthusiasm, but this optimism fades quickly.

According to The Mirror, Amorim should play “three games to save his post”. If the former Sporting CP coach would currently benefit from the “total support” of the management of United, it would seem that they “will assess the situation and the team's trajectory” after the next three games, during the new international truce in October.

The article adds that, despite its private statements, affirming always having confidence in Amorim, the Manchester United management team gave the same insurance to its predecessor, Erik Ten Hag, before ending the Dutch contract after nine games last season, in October 2024.

Dark prognosis for Amorim at Manchester United

United has four points in four Premier League games this season and has 14th place in the ranking. The 40 -year -old has won only eight of his 31 championship games since his arrival last November, some players seemingly losing confidence in his system.

What future for Amorim in Manchester United?

Despite the information mentioned above, other publications suggest that Manchester United could keep the Portuguese for some time, because its dismissal from the first year of its contract at Old Trafford would cost very dear. The Red Devils will face Chelsea, Brentford and Sunderland in the coming weeks, and if they do not obtain positive results by their trip to Liverpool on October 19, Amorim could be absent.
