Despite the club's delicate situation and the Portuguese technician's mixed assessment since his appointment in November 2024 – 19 victories, 9 draws and 20 defeats in 47 directed games -, his future on the Mancunian bench would not be called into question. And this, while his team remains on a heavy defeat in the derby against Manchester City (0-3) on Sunday.
Between expectations and realities, the amorim bet
According to British media, Amorim retains the confidence of its leaders. They still want to give him time to find the right formula.
The former Sporting CP coach, linked to United until June 2027, also benefits from a reshaped workforce this summer, notably with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko. An offensive transfer window which nevertheless feeds a minimum of expectations.
