OL leaded by an incredible red card

The beautiful start to the season of Olympique Lyonnais stopped this Sunday evening, in Rennes, in the 76th minute. Until then, the Gones were holding on. They have led to the score since the opening of their Captain Courage, Corentin Tolisso (1-0, 14th), forced to turn into a center-forward after the departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze.

Paulo Fonseca's team continued to be valiant and coherent, as she has been doing since the start of the season. She could even have doubled the bet, by the young Khalis Merah (44th), or by Adam Karabec (62nd). But this 76th minute arrived …

Tired after a lost duel, Tyler Morton wanted to mow Kader Meité, the young Rennes striker, whose entrance to the 69th minute is the other turning point in the match. The gesture was not so violent, but it was so far from the ball that Mr. Buquet did not hesitate to take out the red card for the old Liverpool Red, whose blood is as surreal as penalizing for his team.

Meité was everywhere!

At 10 against 11, OL sank at Roazhon Park. Anthony Rouault first equalized, on a confused action where Meité was already in the blow (1-1, 80th). Then the 17-year-old striker struck in an impossible angle after a festival along the goal line, pushing Rémy Descamps to the CSC (2-1, 90th+3), before marking a center of Mousa Tamari with the head (3-1, 90th+5).

Lyon loses its first points of the season and slips into fourth row, behind PSG, Lille and Monaco. Rennes, after a strange start to the season, dates back to 6th place with seven units on the clock. And the season of Bretons, marked by many red cards against them, was perhaps launched by this gesture of Morton.
