A year ago, Didier Roustan left us at the age of 66. The emblematic sports journalist, lover and defender of beautiful football, was swept away by a lightning cancer at the liver after several weeks of fighting the disease.

Born in Brazzaville (Congo), Didier Roustan had started his career in journalism at the age of 19 on TF1. He quickly made his place, becoming one pillar of the Cult Téléfoot program, of which he took control between 1986 and 1989.

This big fan of Diego Maradona then joined the Canal+group, then antenna 2 (ancestor of France 2) in 1992, notably commenting on the World 94 in the United States alongside Eric Cantona. After his visit to public service, Didier Roustan landed on the team in 1999. A house he left until his disappearance last year.

The evening team will pay a new tribute to Didier Roustan

On TNT channel 21, he hosted the program finally football, with Pierre Ménès and Karim Nedjari. He then became one of the essential figures of the evening team, presented by Olivier Ménard, from 2008.

On the occasion of the anniversary of his death, the evening team decided to dedicate his program this Thursday, September 11. Erected to the rank of “Life President” of “EDS”, Didier Roustan will therefore have the right to a new tribute from his former Plateau companions from 11:15 p.m.
