Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouamed could miss the next gathering of the French team due to a suspension. Expected this Tuesday during the victory of the Blues against Iceland (2-1) for an assassin tackle on the tibia of Jon Dagur Thorsteinson (68th), Tchouameni is automatically suspended for the next match. The French team will welcome Azerbaijan on October 10 before traveling to Iceland on the 13th, as part of the Qualifications for the 2026 World Cup. The severity of its gesture could however lead to a longer suspension, compromising its participation in the two games.

After a difficult season where he had sometimes been repositioned in central defense by Carlo Ancelotti and when he went through periods of doubt, Tchouameni gradually regained his best level in the midfield. Capable of finding his technical accuracy, his physical presence and his reading of the game, he becomes the player we knew, essential for Didier Deschamps. His suspension would therefore be a hard blow for the Blues, deprived of a player in full recovery of confidence. However, its place in the list, in the event of qualification in the World Cup, is far from being called into question.
