Nottingham Forest: Nuno Espírito Santo dismissed after a clash with his management

Nuno Espírito Santo is no longer the Nottingham Forest coach. Arrived in 2023 at the head of the club, the Portuguese manager was removed from his duties on the night of Monday to Tuesday following heavy tensions with his management. Particularly with its owner Evangelos Marinakis and due to an argument with Edu, the sports director, concerning the failed transfer of Adama Traoré.

“Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that following recent events, Nuno Espírito Santo was dismissed today from his functions as main coach. The club thanks Nuno for its contribution during a very fruitful period at the City Ground, in particular for its role in the 2024/25 season, which will remain forever in the history of the club. Having played a central role in our success last season, it will always occupy a special place in our history ”said the press release. According to the English press, Ange Postecoglou is at the top of the list to replace it, while Marco Silva and José Mourinho are also envisaged.
