D-280 before the 2026 World Cup! While the start of the long -awaited competition is fast approaching, FIFA has unveiled the schedule of first tickets.

The first phase will start on September 10. Indeed, a presale is organized until September 29 for holders of Visa card, an official partner of the competition. The registered supporters will then participate in a draw, scheduled for October 1, which will determine those authorized to buy their places.

At the end of this presale, a second period of marketing will be open to the general public from October 27 to 31. A third wave will follow, scheduled just after the drawing of the groups, scheduled for December 5 in Washington. FIFA also indicates that when the competition approaches the remaining tickets will be accessible according to the principle of “first arrival, first served”.

A colossal financial issue for FIFA

The world football body is preparing to collect a real jackpot. For the first time in its history, the World Cup will bring together 48 teams, which will bring the number of matches disputed at 104, against 64 during the 2022 edition.

Tickets for group phases will start at 60 dollars (around 52 euros) while places for the final can climb up to $ 6,730 (almost 5,290 euros). FIFA will apply a dynamic pricing system, thus adjusting ticket prices according to demand. A method that had already been tested during the 2025 club World Cup, where certain meetings had seen their prices fall in the face of a limited crowd.
