The Premier League has shattered all records!

Seeing the Premier League spending without counting on the summer transfer window is no surprise. But finding that she still broke her record for purchasing and sales once again demonstrates her overpower. Yes, the Premier League clubs exploded the previous records, with more than 3 billion spent on the market. 3 billion and 685 million euros to be precise. The previous record dated from the 2023-2024 season, with 2 billion 800 million euros.

But this summer will also have been that of sales, with 2 billion euros collected, a new brand to beat. Liverpool alone symbolizes this new completely crazy transfer window, with € 515 million paid to afford in particular the 3 most expensive recruits of summer (Isak, Wirtz and Ekitike) but also 260 M € recovered thanks to the sales of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez or Jarell Quansah. Thus, the one who presents the most deficit balance on this 2025 transfer window is Arsenal, with € 307 million spent for only € 12 million received.

Chelsea ends with a positive scale

Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth set up their pockets and have a positive scale. The first city sold its attackers Mbeumo and Wissa at gold prices at Manchester United and Newcastle, the second gave way João Pedro in Chelsea and the third dismantled its defense (Huijsen to Real Madrid, Zabarnyi at PSG and Kerkez in Liverpool). But it is Chelsea who sold the most by recovering € 360 million from the transfer window. If the blues have made people talk about their recruitment policy, they are uncompromising at the time of resale.

56 M € for Madueke at Arsenal in Top Sale and more than 8 departures at a price greater than € 20 million (Nkunku, João Felix, Petrovic, Ugochukwu, Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, Broja, Chukwuemeka). Chelsea therefore made money on this transfer window despite € 340 million in spending. Yes, the Premier League largely dominates the rest of Europe on the market and its model seems far from collapsing.
