The UFC returns to Accor Arena. Nassourdine Imavov heats up before his fight against Caio Borralho, scheduled for this Saturday in hand Event. The Frenchman, claiming number two among average weights, sent a new message to the Brazilian this Monday evening, who has been demanding to face him for months. A highly anticipated confrontation which already promises strong tension.

In a first video broadcast by Borralho, the Brazilian recalls the Russian origins of Imavov, born in Daghestan, and the critic: “It is not a guy who respects the French people”. To retaliate, Nassourdine Imavov summoned Claude Makelélé. The former midfielder spoke:
“Do you know what it is to be a Frenchman?” Hey nas', it's up to you to play. Your turn now “he says to his protégé.

The video also takes up the legendary Makelélé phrase:
“Brazil or not, I fight my necks *****”. The former Real Madrid and Chelsea player had pronounced it in a documentary returning to the 2006 World Cup, when France had eliminated Brazil in the quarterfinals. A symbolic message to support Imavov and mark the tone before the shock in Bercy.

A nod to 1998

In the video, the French fighter, faithful to his colors, wears the jersey of the 1998 French team, the year when the Blues had won the World Cup against Brazil. Nicknamed the “sniper”, Imavov concludes his video with a reference to the film Le Bon, the Brute and the Truand: “You see, the world is divided into two categories: those who have a loaded pistol and those who dig. You dig. »»

With this unexpected support from Makelélé, the tension rose from a notch before the UFC Paris. All eyes will be turned to the fight this Saturday, where French people will seek to confirm his status as a legitimate pretender in the category of average weights.
