This summer, Turkish clubs have decided to hit hard on the transfer market. Or at least two of them. Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe went up a gear on this 2025 transfer window and made a few big shots, like Victor Osimhen recruited by Galatasaray. For his part, Fenerbahçe, eliminated from the race for the Champions League in play -offs against Benfica, has targeted several profiles in recent weeks.
The negotiations had notably started with Marco Asensio, PSG player, not really excited at first. But when approaching the end of the transfer window, the situation changed. Fenerbahçe, who also dismissed José Mourinho this week, revived the track. According to our information, the Turkish club still wants to recruit the Spanish international and discussions are continuing. The file is controlled by the very influential Jorge Mendes.
Fenerbahçe accelerates
And the Portuguese agent does not only negotiate for Asensio, but for two players. In parallel, talks were opened for the Brazilian goalkeeper of Manchester City, Ederson. The latter is on the start and is seriously approaching Turkey. According to our information, the discussions are advancing: the last verbal offer amounts to 12 million euros more diverse premiums, while City now claims 15 million for his porter.
As a reminder, this file could also unlock the situation of Donnarumma to PSG. The English press revealed that Manchester City would take action only if its Brazilian goalkeeper leaves. The next hours are therefore decisive. Fenerbahçe could well hit a huge blow at the end of the transfer window … and the supporters are already ready to ignite.
