OM: Ounahi, betrayal from Saudi Arabia

Azzedine Ounahi and OM, it's over. The 25 -year -old midfielder has been committed to Girona, said the Spanish club this Saturday via its digital media.

The Moroccan international (40 selections – 7 goals) signed a contract lasting almost five years (June 30, 2030). The amount of the transfer is estimated at 6 million euros (Transfermarkt).

Azzedine Ounahi was loaned to Panathinaikos in 2024-2025.

Arrived in Marseille in January 2023, in the wake of a promising performance in the 2022 World Cup in the jersey of the Atlas Lions, Azzedine Ounahi could not find such a level.

The former Angers SCO player has notably been slowed down by injuries. In September 2024, he had been loaned a season to Panathinaikos (Greece).

Before Ounahi, Girona recruited two fields this summer, coming from Atlético de Madrid: the French Thomas Lemar (loan) and the Belgian Axel Witsel (free).
