Balanced draw for Lille
Eight opponents, and eight different countries. After her beautiful campaign in the Champions League last season, Lille is experiencing her menu for the group stage of the Europa League this year. The big piece for the DOGUES will be AS Rome, to whom we will have to visit, as well as Friborg, one of the scarecrows of hat 3. On the other hand, inheriting Dinamo Zagreb (at home) in hat 1 is rather good news, a priori, for the men of Bruno Genesio.
Playable for OL?
For Lyon, the draw took a beautiful Swiss accent with confrontations on the program against FC Basel and the Young Boys, and a Dutch tone with FC Utrecht and the Go Ahead Eagles. The most prestigious name, among the opponents, is that of Betis. For the rest, the menu would have seemed within the reach of a traditional OL. But Paulo Fonseca's team, embarrassed by important financial constraints, will still have a say.
Not easy for Nice…
After its catastrophic European campaign last year, and its elimination without glory in the preliminary tour of the Champions League, the OGC Nice will not have the easy part in the Europa League. With notably AS Rome and FC Porto from hat 1, plus Fenerbahçe (in Turkey), Friborg or Celta Vigo, there will not be much obvious for the men of Franck Haise.
