One year before the next World Cup, Christopher Nkunku is ready to take up a new challenge. The identity of his future club will have taken time to take shape, but many elements believe that the tricolor international will wear the AC Milan jersey in the coming season. Two years after his arrival in Chelsea from Leipzig, the PSG player is in need to find playing time and a role that sticks with his qualities.

At the end of the transfer window, Aston Villa, Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Bayer Leverkusen had expressed their interest in French, under contract until 2029 with the blues. But it was especially AC Milan that advanced its pawns, since last night, a contractual agreement was almost found between the 27 -year -old offensive, and the Rossoneri.

Nkunku should experience a fourth championship

According to our information, it is in the form of a dry transfer that Christopher Nkunku should join Italy, while Chelsea had refused a loan offer from Bayern Munich. A contract until 2030 awaits him on the side of Milanello, and an agreement is now about to be found between the two clubs. It is not yet completely made, but the discussions are advancing in the right direction.

The transfer indemnity should be around 45 million euros, which would make it the second largest purchase in the history of the club behind Rafael Leao (49.5 million euros). It would also be added to the long list of players who borrowed the Chelsea – Milan gateway in recent years, like Tomori, Joao Félix, Bakayoko or Giroud, to name a few.
