This is the first big meeting of the season. The 36 clubs engaged in the Champions League have an appointment in Monaco this Thursday at 6 p.m. to attend the draw for the Champions League League phase. The three French representatives in C1 – PSG, AS Monaco and Olympique de Marseille – are therefore preparing to know the identity of their Hues Advesaires.
And PSG, holding the title, may appear in hat 1, the capital's club will ultimately be housed to teach as OM and ASM, placed in hats 3 and 4. Consequence of the new formula of the Champions League entered into force last season. All the teams committed must indeed meet two teams from each hat and therefore so likely to inherit a group of death.
Pafos and Almaty, the little thumbs
However, the draw could also prove to be Clément if the planets line up. In a hat 1, which left densely densely, two teams appear slightly more takeable than the other five cadors present alongside PSG: Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea. In hat 2, Bruges and Villarreal would necessarily constitute a good draw compared to Arsenal, Juventus Turin or Atletico Madrid.
Hat 3 is obviously much less dense and the Slavia Prague and Olympiacos seem a tone below the other teams than PSG, OM and Monaco are likely to face. Likewise in hat 4, the Pafos Cypriot club looks like a little thumb. The same is true of Kaïrat Almaty even if a trip to Kazakhstan would not be without a problem.
