Dani Ceballos will be unless surprised, a player from Olympique de Marseille when the summer transfer window closes on September 1. According to information from Foot Mercato, the Real Madrid midfielder will engage with OM, the Merengues and the Marseille club having agreed around a loan with compulsory purchase option, the amount of which has not yet been revealed.
When at the end of the season the Spanish international will be officially a Marseille player, this will validate a transaction simply never seen in history. It will be the very first time that a player has been transferred directly from Real Madrid to Olympique de Marseille.
2026 World Cup objective
In the past, three players have been loaned by the Spanish giant at OM: Alfonso Perez and Alberto Rivera in 2002, and Lucas Silva in 2015. Others wore the jersey of the two clubs, such as Claude Makélélé, Fernando Morientes, Gabriel Heinze and Lassana Diarra, but with stages between the two.
